Yet another MLB Off-Season coming to a close - Cardinals Spring Training Game Coverage Announced

St. Louis Cardinals Spring Training pitchers/catchers report in February 12. Position players report in February 17 at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium Complex, Jupiter FL

The long MLB off-season will be drawing to a close in nine days. Spring Training camps will open 'for business'.

For the St. Louis Cardinals, at the Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium Complex in Jupiter FL, pitchers and catchers to report February 12, with their first workout, February 13. Position players officially report in by February 17 and full workout February 18. Cardinals share the complex with the Miami Marlins. Their first Spring game will be Saturday, February 23 at 12:05 CST.

Announced Friday, February 1 - Media coverage for the Cardinals was made available.

Media coverage for the St. Louis Cardinals

Fox Sports Midwest will be covering 15 games this spring. Those being played at Roger Dean Stadium. KMOX Radio will be covering most all the Spring games for Cardinals fans - especially those 'on the road'.

St. Louis Cardinals Spring Game schedule and coverage. All times are CST.

Finally our Cardinals baseball will be back, along with remaining 29 MLB teams. For those interested and enjoy our Minor League teams, their schedules have yet to be announced.

  • Memphis Redbirds (Class AAA; Pacific Coast League) Springfield Cardinals (Class AA; Texas League) Palm Beach Cardinals (Class A; Florida State League) Peoria Chiefs (Class A; Midwest League)

The Cardinals minor league players, also, will report in and play their games at the Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium/Complex.

(The 'name' of the stadium was officially renamed, announced in January 2018.)

Yes, for our Cardinals, we will see the minor league invitees and our regular roster players competing for the Opening Day 25 man roster.

Some players are already at Roger Dean doing their own workouts and 'rehab'. Two that I'm confident are taking advantage are RHP Miles Mikolas, since he lives in Jupiter. And, catcher Yadier Molina as he continues his rehab (knee surgery) with the training/medical staff at Jupiter. I'm sure there are others.

However, this past week at Roger Dean, Cardinals held their "Cardinals Fantasy Camp". In my opinion, has to be an awesome experience for those who attended.

In 9 Days - Roger Dean will be buzzing with "Cardinals" on the field. Can hardly wait.

As we know, this off-season has been as slow with FA signing news as was the 2018 off-season. Last season, a Spring Training camp, IMG Academy in Bradenton FL, was set-up for the 'unsigned' which had not been done since 1995. However, not all took advantage. In checking this morning, I have not found any information that a camp has been designated for 2019.

What has transpired these past two off-seasons is messed up. But ~ that is a whole subject matter in itself. One player's view ~ "Spring training is a difficult time for unsigned free agents" by Bill Baer, Hardball Talk, NBC Sports.
